KYLE C. OLSON is an Emmy-winning producer, director, and storyteller with a passion for crafting compelling narratives that inspire and connect audiences. From launching a video production company at age 14 to creating award-winning documentaries and leading groundbreaking productions across the globe, Kyle’s career has been defined by innovation, determination, and a drive to push creative boundaries. Whether building a business from the ground up or collaborating with the industry’s most visionary creators, Kyle excels at blending logistics with artistry to bring ambitious ideas to life.
As Vice President of Production at Lux Machina, Kyle played a pivotal role in creating immersive virtual worlds for groundbreaking productions while building the company's UK branch from the ground up. Over two years in London, he worked on high-profile projects like The Barbie Movie (WB), House of the Dragon (HBO Max), Hijack (Apple TV+), Silo (Apple TV+), and Masters of the Air (Apple TV+), while also becoming the first Virtual Production Producer at Warner Bros. Leavesden's state-of-the-art V Stage. With thousands of hours of experience on top-tier productions, Kyle has contributed to productions like Megalopolis (Francis Ford Coppola), Encore! (Disney+), The Four (FOX), America's Next Top Model (CW), The Bachelor (ABC/Freeform), and countless live broadcasts at Disneyland (Disney/ABC). His leadership has been instrumental in blending logistics with creative innovation to deliver world-class productions on time and on budget. Kyle’s work spans the globe, with projects in over 20 countries and almost all 50 states. From leading crews through iconic venues like Madison Square Garden and London’s O2 Arena while filming Kevin Hart: Don’t F**k This Up (Netflix), to collaborating with local communities in Fiji during Kicking and Screaming (FOX), and producing world-class events for Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative, Kyle's global perspective and hands-on experience set him apart. During the pandemic, Kyle demonstrated his expertise in navigating unprecedented challenges as a UPM on the first union production to resume filming. He collaborated with union representatives, studio agencies, and safety officers to establish standards that ensured crew safety. An award-winning filmmaker, Kyle’s documentary The Last Signal received the Mid-America Emmy for "Best Historical Documentary" and won "Best Documentary" at the Normandy WWII Film Festival. His work has screened globally, including a landmark event at Pearl Harbor in 2022. Kyle is also the creator, executive producer, and host of Love & Justice, an investigative true crime podcast that debuted on Apple’s Top 200 chart and became a global Top 25 podcast, earning a 2023 Webby nomination alongside Tom Hanks. Recognized for its excellence, the podcast was named one of Biography's Top 15 Best True Crime Podcasts of all time.
