KYLE C. OLSON is an Emmy-winning producer, director, and storyteller with a passion for crafting compelling narratives that inspire and connect audiences. From launching a video production company at age 14 to creating award-winning documentaries and leading groundbreaking productions across the globe, Kyle’s career has been defined by innovation, determination, and a drive to push creative boundaries. Whether building a business from the ground up or collaborating with the industry’s most visionary creators, Kyle excels at blending logistics with artistry to bring ambitious ideas to life.

Over the past few years, Kyle has led teams on high-profile productions including Barbie (WB), Masters of the Air (Apple TV+), Megalopolis (dir. Francis Ford Coppola), Hijack (Apple TV+), House of the Dragon (HBO Max), and Silo (Apple TV+).

As Vice President of Production at Lux Machina, one of the pioneering companies in virtual production, he played a key role during the industry’s rapid expansion following its breakthrough on The Mandalorian, helping translate emerging technology into scalable, real-world production workflows.
As part of that growth, he helped lead and build Lux Machina’s UK division from the ground up, establishing a production footprint across Europe. In 2025, he served as interim Head of Virtual Production for Studio Ulster in Belfast, where he helped launch the studio, onboard productions and staff, and define the workflows that would carry it forward.
With thousands of hours of experience on top-tier productions, Kyle has contributed to productions like Naked & Afraid (Discovery), The Adventures of Dr Buckeye Bottoms (Nat Geo), Dancing with the Stars (ABC), Encore! (Disney+), The Four (FOX), America's Next Top Model (CW), The Bachelor (ABC/Freeform), and countless live broadcasts at Disneyland (Disney/ABC). He has also worked with multiple production companies in development, helping to create and shape new story concepts. His leadership has been instrumental in blending logistics with creative innovation to deliver world-class productions on time and on budget.

Kyle’s work spans the globe, with projects in over 20 countries and almost all 50 states. From leading crews through iconic venues like Madison Square Garden and London’s O2 Arena while filming Kevin Hart: Don’t F**k This Up (Netflix), to collaborating with local communities in Fiji during Kicking and Screaming (FOX), and producing world-class events for Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative, Kyle's global perspective and hands-on experience set him apart.

During the pandemic, Kyle demonstrated his expertise in navigating unprecedented challenges as a UPM on the first union production to resume filming. He collaborated with union representatives, studio agencies, and safety officers to establish standards that ensured crew safety.

Kyle is also deeply passionate about on-set representation and advocating for fair crediting of every contributor to a production. In 2023, he wrote a powerful piece on the subject for Variety, which was featured on the front page, highlighting the importance of recognizing the hard work of every individual behind the scenes.

An award-winning filmmaker, Kyle’s documentary The Last Signal received the Mid-America Emmy for "Best Historical Documentary" and won "Best Documentary" at the Normandy WWII Film Festival. His work has screened globally, including a landmark event at Pearl Harbor.

Kyle is also the creator, executive producer, and host of Love & Justice, an investigative true crime podcast that debuted on Apple’s Top 200 chart and racked up over 5 million downloads worldwide. It became a global Top 25 podcast, earning a 2023 Webby nomination alongside Tom Hanks. Recognized for its excellence, the podcast was named one of Biography's Top 15 Best True Crime Podcasts of all time.

Kyle also regularly produces and hosts Q&As, panels, tours, and live conversations tied to historic moments and cultural milestones - spanning film screenings, podcast events, and other special programs that invite audiences deeper into the work. As a trusted moderator and discussion leader, he brings clarity, warmth, and structure to each conversation, guiding meaningful dialogue that connects creators, collaborators, and communities.
